Impero leads WCC men to another win

Kyle Impero had a double-double as Whatcom Community College's men's basketball team earned a 74-65 victory over Bellevue College on Saturday, Feb. 15, at home. Impero finished with 27 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Orcas.

Neilan Pierce added 13 points and Eric Fongue had 12 more for the Orcas, which improved to 17-5 overall and 10-2 in the region, good for first in the north region. Alex Duncan led WCC with five assists to go with his six points.

Austin O'Keefe led the Bulldogs with 18 points, including two of Bellevue's 3-pointers. AJ Holloway added 11 for the Bulldogs, who fell to 15-10 overall and 9-3 in the region, which puts them at third in the north region.

The Orcas take on Everett at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, at Everett.

Bellevue: Jalen Ward 9, Darien Muongvang 3, Daniel Greer 0, Reggie Clinton 5, Dominique Jordan 9, Terry Jones Jr. 0, AJ Holloway 11, Dominic Smith 4, Anthony McLaughlin 6, Austin O'Keefe 18. Totals 23-60 14-18 65.
