Blazers pile on six goals, cruise to win over Eugene


The Bellingham Blazers held onto a 3-1 first-period lead to defeat the Eugene Generals 6-1 on Saturday, Feb. 8, in Eugene. The Blazers were led by Ty Hubbard, who scored twice.

Boris Knyazev added one goal and two assists. Kevin Duncan and Cody Rich each had a goal and an assist for the Blazers. Kristjan Toivola also scored a goal.

Bellingham goaltender Robert MacDonald saved 15 shots.

The Blazers take on Eugene again on Thursday, Feb. 13, in Eugene.
