Whatcom's Democratic legislators to hold telephone town hall

THE BELLINGHAM HERALDFebruary 10, 2014

Constituents of Legislative District 40, including south Bellingham and southwest Whatcom County, can hear from their state lawmakers and ask them questions at a telephone town hall, starting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11.

Sen. Kevin Ranker, D-Orcas Island; Rep. Kristine Lytton, D-Anacortes; and Rep. Jeff Morris, D-Mount Vernon, will discuss issues under debate in the current legislative session and will take questions from people on the line.

An automated phone call will be placed to people's homes in the 40th District around 6 p.m. Tuesday. To be part of the town hall, stay on the line. People who don't get a call but would like to participate can dial toll-free 1-877-229-8493 and enter 18646 when prompted.

Legislators are approaching the halfway point in this year's session, which is scheduled to end March 13.
