F&G slates open houses and online chat for big game rules

February 10, 2014

The 2014 big game hunting season in Idaho’s southwest region will be discussed at open houses, including one at the Idaho Sportsman's Show Feb. 28, as well as two online chats where hunters can interact with staffers from the F&G McCall and Nampa regional offices.

On Wednesday, February 26, from noon to 1 p.m. and again from 5 to 7 p.m. people can log on to the Fish and Game website and chat live with wildlife biologists. Proposed changes to 2014 big game seasons will be discussed and chat hunters can provide feedback and ask questions during the two sessions.

Some 2014 Southwest Region big game season proposals include adjusting Unit 39 deer and elk hunts, and lengthening black bear controlled hunt seasons in Weiser River Units. A complete list of statewide deer, elk, pronghorn, black bear and mountain lion hunt proposals will soon be available on the Fish and Game website HERE .

F&G will also host two traditional open houses: McCall – Tuesday, February 25, 4 to 7 p.m., 555 Deinhard Lane. Boise – Friday, February 28, 6 to 8 p.m., Idaho Sportsman’s Show Expo Idaho Building, Idaho State Fair Grounds.
