Recap: Colorado vs. Washington

Boulder, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - Xavier Johnson tallied 27 points and 10 rebounds, as the Colorado Buffaloes made easy work of the Washington Huskies, 91-65, in a Pac-12 Conference matchup at the Coors Events Center.

Josh Scott netted 21 points and Askia Booker logged 20 points and seven assists for Colorado (18-6, 7-4 Pac-12), which has won three straight. Jaron Hopkins hauled in 10 boards for the hosts.

For Washington (13-11, 5-6), losers of three in a row, Nigel Williams-Goss scored 15 points and Perris Blackwell added 10 points.

Colorado ran out to a 20-4 lead less than six minutes into the game and eventually went into the halftime locker room with a 48-33 advantage. The Buffs shot 51.5 percent from the field in the opening stanza, compared to just 37.5 percent for the Huskies.

Things only improved for the Buffs in the second half, shooting 60.9 percent from the field as they cruised to the 26-point victory.

Washington finished the contest shooting just 32.3 percent from the floor. It was also outrebounded by Colorado, 44-30.
