More border traffic expected this weekend for Family Day in B.C.

Expect heavier than normal border traffic this weekend as British Columbia residents have a three-day holiday weekend.

Family Day is Monday, Feb. 10, in B.C. and Feb. 17 in some other provinces. It is meant as a day for families to spend time together. Many offices and businesses are closed, as are schools, but not every place marks the holiday. If you're heading to B.C. Monday, it's advised to check ahead to see what's open.
