Sedro-Woolley, Price prove too much for Blaine

THE BELLINGHAM HERALDFebruary 4, 2014

Blaine's boys' basketball team couldn't handle Jackson Price and the Sedro-Woolley Cubs as the Borderites fell 73-52 on Tuesday, Feb. 4, at Sedro-Woolley.

The game was tied after the first quarter, but turnovers eventually caught up to Blaine, which committed 34 in the game.

"We had a great first quarter and then in the second quarter, we just didn't take care of the basketball," Blaine interim coach Lydell Eigenbrood said in a phone interview.

Price put in 33 points on the night. Sean Herrig tried to keep up with 16 of his own, but it wasn't enough. Anthony Ball also had a solid game for Blaine. He put up eight points and had nine rebounds.

"Anthony Ball's energy and work on the board kept the game within reach," Eigenbrood said.

Blaine (6-14, NWC 3-9) ends its regular season with a game against Burlington-Edison on Friday, Feb. 7, on the road.
