Best Bets: Mount Baker High stages "Grease" Feb. 5-9

Mount Baker High School present the popular musical, "Grease," Wednesday, Feb. 5, through Sunday, Feb. 9, at the school's theater, 4936 Deming Road, in Deming.

It's the summer of 1958; local boy Danny Zuko and tourist Sandy Dumbrowski meet at the beach and fall in love. As summer ends, Sandy and Danny part -a summer romance. However, fate is on their side as Rydell High opens with seniors and T-Birds Danny, Kenickie, Doody, Sonny & Roger and The Pink Ladies: Rizzo, Frenchy, Marty, & Jan. Guess who shows up on the first day of school?

YOGA AND HIP-HOP

Come see what it's like to blend the peaceful and restorative practice of Yoga Asana, with colorful and funky dance moves at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, at the Presence Studio, 1412 Cornwall Ave.

The first half hour is a gentle strength yoga asana practice. The second half hour is dedicated to learning a short combination of dance steps, set to some of your favorite songs. This class is all-levels friendly and for the month of February, all Wednesday evenings are free (regularly $10).
