Western Washington University center Austin Bragg has been named the Red Lion/Great Northwest Athletic Conference men's basketball Player of the Week for Jan. 26-Feb. 1.
It is the second time this season and the third time in his two-year WWU career that Bragg, a 6-foot-9 senior from Longview, has earned the honor.
Bragg had 31 points, 26 rebounds and 13 assists, and recorded just the second triple-double in WWU history and only the third in GNAC history in leading the Vikings to wins over Alaska Fairbanks, 53-51, and Alaska Anchorage, 99-76.
Bragg had one-third of WWU's points and rebounds in Thursday's win over Alaska Fairbanks, and recorded a triple-double of 13 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists in Saturday's regionally televised victory over Alaska Anchorage.
The Vikings beat Alaska Fairbanks and Alaska Anchorage last week to earn Great Northwest Athletic Conference Team of the Week honors.
