Ferndale Arts Commission launches poetry-in-photo contest

FERNDALE - People of all ages have until March 12 to enter the Ferndale Arts Commission's free verse photo project.

To enter, take a photo of words or lines from a favorite poem and present that image in a non-traditional way. (Find examples with a Web search of the Academy of American Poets Free Verse Project.)

Photographs must be at least 8 inches by 10 inches, and mounted.

Entries will be displayed in participating Ferndale businesses during April, which is National Poetry Month

Find entry forms online at the Ferndale Arts Commission's Facebook page and at cityofferndale.org/arts.

Entries will be accepted in person or by mail at Ferndale City Hall, 2095 Main St., Ferndale, WA 98248.
