Bellingham wins wrestling tournament title

Bellingham's boys' wrestling team won six weight classes and scored 206 points in a first-place finish at the Aberdeen Last Chance Tournament on Saturday, Feb. 1, in Aberdeen.

Blair Bennett (170-pound division), Sergio Torres (126), Riley Takemura (120) and Ben Donnelly got pins for the Red Raiders in their respective championship matches.

"Blair Bennett had a really good day, he's been getting back into shape after he pulled his hamstring earlier this season," Bellingham coach Tom Hinz said in a phone interview. "Sergio had all pins today. Same with Riley and Ben."

Franklin-Pierce took second with 169 points and host Aberdeen was third with 153.5.
