Whatcom legislators to hold telephone town hall with constituents

THE BELLINGHAM HERALDJanuary 30, 2014

Whatcom County residents who live in the 42nd Legislative District are invited to a "telephone town hall" with their legislators on Monday, Feb. 3.

The hour-long phone conversation with Sen. Doug Ericksen, R-Ferndale, Rep. Vincent Buys, R-Lynden, and Rep. Jason Overstreet, R-Lynden, starts at 6:30 p.m. To participate, call 1-800-216-8156 shortly before 6:30 p.m. After presentations by the legislators, callers can ask questions by pressing the star on their keypads.

The 42nd District is Whatcom County except south Bellingham and the southwest county.

The lawmakers hold telephone town halls during legislative sessions to make themselves more accessible to constituents. The current session is scheduled to end March 13.
