A power line apparently snapped and fell onto a commercial van parked on Humboldt Street Wednesday, Jan. 29, causing a fire and knocking out power to the neighborhood. Firefighters closed off Humboldt and Ohio streets while fighting the van fire, which was extinguished within 15 minutes. A witness said the power line snapped and fell onto a parked van near Olsen Auto Body, 1919 Humboldt St. No one was in the van, which was from Mount Baker Auto Glass Inc., at the time and no injuries were reported.
