Singer-songwriter Judy Collins, who was born in Seattle, will perform with the Passenger String Quartet at 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at Mount Baker Theatre, 104 N. Commercial St.

There's a local connection to the performance by award-winning singer-songwriter Judy Collins at 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at Mount Baker Theatre, 104 N. Commercial St.

Collins, who was born in Seattle, will perform with the Passenger String Quartet. Andrew Joslyn, the quartet's manager, arranger and composer, (as well as first violin), is a 2005 graduate of Western Washington University.

Collins is esteemed for her imaginative interpretations of traditional and contemporary folk standards and her own poetically poignant compositions.
