BELLINGHAM - A plan to have public tours of the projection booth this weekend at the Regal Bellis Fair Cinemas 6 has been canceled.

Final screenings at the mall movie theater will continue through Sunday, Jan. 26, but Regal management changed its mind about offering a tour of the booth that uses the 35-mm film format, said Tom Vohs, projectionist at the theater.

The movie theater is closing on Jan. 26 as the mall makes plans to remodel the space for new retail tenants.
