Meridian struggles in loss to Anacortes

Meridian's boys' basketball team fell to Anacortes 72-34 on Tuesday, Jan. 21, at Anacortes High School.

The Trojans shot 36.4 percent from the field and 36.8 percent from the free-throw line in the loss.

It was a tough game for Meridian, coach Shane Stacy admitted.

Kyle Young led the Trojans with 11 points and Nick Rautenberg had a team-high five rebounds.

Meridian (6-7, NWC 3-3) is back on the court to take on La Conner on Wednesday, Jan. 22, at La Conner High School.
