BELLINGHAM - Friday, Jan. 24, is the deadline to register for a conference at Bellingham Technical College about planning for end-of-life care and discussions about it.

Called "Transforming Difficult Conversations," the palliative care event is 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Feb. 7 in Settlemyer Family Hall.

It was designed for patients and families, health care providers, social workers, caregivers and community members.

The Palliative Care Initiative in Whatcom County is sponsoring the conference.
