Offers alternatives to Seahawk passion

COURTESY TO THE BELLINGHAM HERALDJanuary 20, 2014

Isn't it an exciting time in our sports world? The incredible intensity and involvement that fans have shown towards the Seattle Seahawk football team is truly an inspiration of human achievement.

However, I can't help but to wonder what our lives would be like if that same passion towards football was directed at feeding the millions of starving children. Or clothing and providing shelter to the homeless?

I wonder if that same excitement displayed in the bleachers at the game was given to our neighbors in effort to build a more harmonious community?

I wonder if we gave the same undying love and forgiveness to the men that play this game to the peoples around the globe, would we live in a world of less greed, killing and fewer wars?

Many would say my wondering is just a dream or a prayer. I guess not much unlike a "hail Mary" pass with time running out?
