Tacoma group plans climbing movie night

January 19, 2014

The Tacoma Mountaineers is hosting a free climbing movie night Jan. 27 with a showing of “The Sharp End.”

Organizers describe the movie as “an adrenaline-soaked journey up the world’s most challenging walls: the French Alps, the Eiger, the Utah desert, the Diamond of Colorado, Indian Kashmir, Yosemite granite and the sandstone spires of Czech Republic.” The film was produced by Boulder, Colo.-based Sender Films.

The doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the movie starts at 7 p.m. There will be free popcorn.

The event will be at The Mountaineers Tacoma Program Center, 2302 N. 30th St., Tacoma.
