Roller Betties plan double-header at WCC Pavilion

The Bellingham Roller Betties, a competitive roller-derby team, begin their seventh season at 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014 at Whatcom Community College Pavilion, 237 W. Kellogg Road.

If you haven't seen the Bellingham Roller Betties, a competitive roller-derby team, here's your chance: The gals begin their seventh season at 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, at Whatcom Community College Pavilion, 237 W. Kellogg Road.

It's a double-header, with the Roller Betties versus the TCRG Riot Girls; and the Bellingham Roller Betties Red Riot versus the Bellingham Roller Betties Black Death.

Admission is $14 general, $6 for kids 8 to 12, and free for kids 7 and younger. Seats are limited. Tickets are available through Brown Paper Tickets, at both Community Food Coop locations and at Mod Socks.

Doors open at 4 p.m.; bouts begins at 5. Trackside seating is 18 and older only. There is a beer garden.
