Sehome boys share scoring load in win over Baker

The Sehome boys' basketball team had four players score in double figures as they earned a 58-46 win over Mount Baker in Northwest Conference action Tuesday, Jan. 14, at Sehome. Leif Anderson and Tanner Clark each had 12 points for the Mariners.

"We were up 16 at the half and maybe the guys got feeling too good about themselves," Sehome coach AJ LaBree said in a phone interview of the Mariners scoring just eight points in the third quarter. "Mount Baker fought back hard and made shots. They got us on our heels and cut our lead to three. ... Tanner Clark hit a big 3-pointer (in the fourth) and we were able to push the lead."

Langston Engle and Duncan James each added 10 points for Sehome and Evan Miksovsky had eight.

Reuben Murashov led the Mountaineers with 17 points. Colton Ranson added 10 for Mount Baker.

Sehome plays next at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, at Blaine. Mount Baker is back in action at 7:15 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, at Sedro-Woolley.
