H&M fashion store is coming to Bellis Fair

BELLINGHAM - One of the world's largest fashion retailers has announced it is opening a store at Bellis Fair this spring.

In a news release, H&M said it will be occupying about 19,000 square feet, about twice the size of the Forever 21 store at the mall.

The company and Bellis Fair have not announced which wing of the mall H&M will go into. The mall is in a major transition, moving tenants out and bringing in new ones. One of the major tenants that recently closed at Bellis Fair is Big 5 Sporting Goods, which has a larger store in a retail center near Walmart.

The H&M store at Bellis Fair will have clothing collections for men and women. Separate "store within store" sections will have accessories, lingerie and maternity clothes.

H&M opened its first U.S. store in New York 14 years ago and now has 308 stores across the U.S. The company has around 3,000 stores around the world. Details can be found at hm.com.
