Blazers sweep Generals


Josh Stone earned the shutout in goal for the Bellingham Blazers, a tier III junior hockey team, as they won 3-0 on Saturday, Jan. 11, at Eugene to finish off a two-game sweep.

Stone had 16 saves and the Blazers had goals from Nick Scherbinin, Micky Turner and Scott Hansen.

The Blazers, who are in first place in the NPHL standings, host West Sound on Jan. 17 and 18 at the Bellingham Sportsplex. Both games are at 7:35 p.m.
