Bellingham's Brooks Manufacturing raises $29K for charities

Brooks Manufacturing recently completed its annual charitable contributions campaign for 2014 and a press release says the participation rate for Brooks employees was 100 percent.

"Brooks employees, in conjunction with a 100 percent match from the company raised a record $29,472 Since 2000, Brooks and its employees have contributed $281,358 through its charitable campaign and United Way. The current charitable campaign contributions support six community non-profit corporations: Boy Scouts of America, Boys and Girls Club, Camp Fire Inc, Whatcom Family YMCA, Catholic Community Services, and the America Red Cross.

"Brooks Manufacturing and its dedicated employees recognize the importance of these community organizations in the challenging economic times for the citizens of our community, said Dwayne Carter, president of Brooks Manufacturing Co.

"Brooks and its predecessors has been a member of the business community in Bellingham and Whatcom County since 1915. The company manufactures engineered wood products for the electrical utility industry."
