Sehome falls to Burlington-Edison 48-39 in boys' wrestling


The Sehome boys' wrestling team suffered a 48-39 loss to Burlington-Edison on Thursday, Jan. 9, at Sehome High School.

The Mariners earned four pins and their fifth win came in an 8-6 decision.

"I was really proud of some of the guys," Sehome coach Scott Schroyer said in a phone interview. "I was proud of Chandler Heintz and Aidan VanBrink. Those are a couple of freshmen who got pins. That was awesome."

Austin Vosburgh (160 pounds) and Blaise Black (145) also earned pins, and Steven Yazzie (132) scored the two-point decision.

Sehome travels to Burlington next for the BEHS Team Duals at 8 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, at Burlington-Edison High School.
