THE BELLINGHAM HERALDJanuary 8, 2014

The Sedro-Woolley boys' wrestling team defeated Lynden 63-14 on Wednesday, Jan. 8, at Sedro-Woolley High School.

Jordan and Payton Scotter picked up wins in their respective weight classes. Jordan Scotter scored a win by major decision in the 106-pound weight class, and Payton Scotter did so by way of a pin in the 138-pound weight class.

"The Scotter boys pulled out some wins tonight," Lynden coach Randy Anderson said in a phone interview.

The Lions' lone senior, Christian Mouat, recorded the other win when he defeated Jared Mitchell 13-3 in the 145-pound match.

"He's our most experienced guy. We're looking to him to show some leadership," Anderson said. "It was good. He wrestled a kid that was the same body style, and he had to work."
