Bellingham Farmers Market seeking vendors for upcoming season

BELLINGHAM - The Bellingham Farmers Market is seeking new vendors for the 2014 season.

Farmers and producers in Whatcom and Skagit counties are encouraged to apply. The Saturday market runs from April 5 through Dec. 20, and the Wednesday market from June 4 through Sept. 24.

"New vendors enable us to expand the market's product mix and selection range, and are essential in helping us maintain an interesting, sustainable market for our community," said Caprice Teske, marketing director in a news release.

Applications are due by Friday, Jan. 31. For more information or the application, visit or call 360-647-2060.

The Bellingham Farmers Market is also bringing back its winter market. The market will be open 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Depot Market Square on three Saturdays - Jan. 18, Feb. 15 and March 15. Between 40 and 70 vendors are expected to be at the winter market.
