Meeting about Tenmile Creek Clean Water Project is Jan. 8

THE BELLINGHAM HERALDJanuary 3, 2014

The public is invited to the Wednesday, Jan. 8, committee meeting for the Tenmile Creek Clean Water Project.

It will be 6:30 to 8 p.m. at BelleWood Acres, 6140 Guide Meridian, north of Bellingham.

The project is led by volunteers who are working to reduce fecal coliform levels in the Tenmile Creek drainage, which includes Tenmile, Deer and Fourmile creeks. RE Sources' North Sound Baykeeper program is coordinating the effort.

Approving past committee minutes, reviewing recent water quality data, and a speaker from the Whatcom County Health Department talking about inspecting and maintaining on-site septic systems are among the topics for the meeting.
