Lummi boys earn win at home

The Lummi Blackhawks boys' basketball team took a 25-8 first-quarter lead and didn't look back as it beat Providence 87-19 on Thursday, Jan. 2, at home.

"It was a good team effort and everybody contributed," Lummi coach Jerome Toby said in a phone interview. "We havn't played for 10 days so it was nice to get up and down the court again."

Willie Jones had 23 points for the Blackhawks, Kavarez Lane had 18 points and Trazil Lane had 11.
