Free talk in Bellingham focuses on music and memory

BELLINGHAM - A free public presentation titled "Music and Memory Loss" is set for 3:30 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, at Adult Day Health Center, 809 E. Chestnut St.

Allan Fitz, who practices in Bellingham, will give the presentation in which he will play the piano and explore songs that trigger memories. He specializes in neuropsychology and geriatric psychiatry.

He will help those in attendance know how to use music during different stages of memory loss.

The event is the next installment in the "Facing the Challenges of Aging" lecture series offered by the Adult Day Health Center at PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center.

Because of space limitations, people must register for the talk by Tuesday, Jan. 14. Call 360-788-6410 to register.
