Make thank-you cards Tuesday at Bellingham library

THE BELLINGHAM HERALDDecember 27, 2013

BELLINGHAM - Show gratitude for your holiday gifts by making a personalized card at the 23rd annual Note of Thanks, a free family crafting event sponsored by the Bellingham Public Library.

Note of Thanks offers families - and especially children - a chance to show how much they appreciated their presents by sending a hand-made card, said Bernice Chang, a librarian with the Children's Library.

"They just get inspired and make their thank-you cards," Chang said. "It's become such a tradition for families in our community."

Everything is provided for the Note of Thanks, which is 10:30 to noon Tuesday, Dec. 31, in the downstairs Lecture Room at the library, 210 Central Ave. Participants will find crafting items such as paper, glitter, stickers and shaped punches.

"We set out all the different materials and they just go at it," Chang said. "It's amazing to see the kids get so creative and to see what they can do."
