Many Whatcom County businesses to close early on Christmas Eve

People waiting until the last minute to do some shopping should be aware that many businesses will close early on Christmas Eve so employees can be with family.

Many stores will close by 6 p.m. Some small businesses will be closed much or all of Tuesday, Dec. 24. Call ahead to check hours of businesses.

Social service agencies may also close early. The Opportunity Council will close at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 24 and will be closed Christmas Day.

Some restaurants also will be closed for dinner on Tuesday. Most businesses in Whatcom County will be closed on Christmas Day.

The Bellingham Herald will publish a list of local businesses open on Christmas in the Dec. 25 issue.
