Stay late: Bogus opens for night skiing Sunday

December 21, 2013

Three inches of new snow that fell Saturday at Bogus Basin will allow the ski resort north of Boise to open the Bitterroot (No. 5) and Pine Creek (No.6) lifts for the first time this season on Sunday.

Bogus reported 19 inches of snow at the base. The season total is 27 inches.

The tube hill will also debut, along with night skiing. The tube hill is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., while the night skiing session runs from 4 to 10 p.m.

A day and night ticket is $49 and allows skiing from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. A half-day ticket runs $42 from 1 to 10 p.m. and a night-only ticket is $22 for skiing from 4 to 10 p.m.

Tickets for children 7 to 11 are $20 for all categories.

Tickets for the Coach beginner chairlift and the Easy Rider and Fundsy moving carpets are $10 for adults and children.

Tube hill prices are $12 per person for a two-hour session. Reservations are recommended and can be obtained online at www.bogusbasin.org.
