YMCA exercise class for cancer survivors

Registration is open at the Whatcom Family YMCA for an exercise class for cancer survivors.

The regimen is designed to build muscle strength, increase flexibility and endurance, and improve a person's capacity to perform daily work and play activities.

The 12-week class runs from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays, starting Jan. 13.

The cost is $50 for YMCA member, or $100 for the general public. A free, 12-week family membership for the survivor's family is included in the fee. Financial assistance is available.
