A few biz tidbits

Here's a quick roundup of local biz items:

-- A gift shop recently opened at 220 E. Maple St. (near Honey Moon Mead & Cider) called Tide Lines.

Local artist Chelsea Jepson sells locally made artwork, jewelry, handbags, hats and other gifts.

The store will host a grand opening event on Saturday, Dec. 21. 

Hours or operation are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, as well as 6-9 p.m. on the first Friday of the month for the Gallery Walk.

-- John Luciano and Jack Pflueger have applied for a state liquor license to put in a microbrewery/specialty shop at 1009 Larrabee Ave., in Fairhaven. The proposed business name is Stones Throw Brewery.

-- Marriott has submitted building permits for its five-story, 83-room TownePlace Suites at 4050 Northwest Ave., next to its recently completed SpringHill Suites.

-- The Colophon Café has submitted a building permit application to expand into the retail space next door at 1208 11th St.

-- An application was filed to convert the former Paper Zone building at 915 Iowa St. into office space.
