Balanced Lyncs roll to win


Lynden Christian boys' basketball was firing on all cylinders on Friday, Dec. 13, at Concrete en route to a 74-17 win. Five Lyncs scored in double figures as Dalton Lootens led the way with 13 points.

"Our balance really showed again on both ends of the floor," Lynden Christian coach Roger DeBoer said in a phone interview. "I was really excited about our defensive effort as well."

Jake Poag and Josh Hornstra added 11 each for the Lyncs, and Zach Roetcisoender and Grant Wolffis each had 10. Logan Carlson also had a big night for Lynden Christian with eight points and eight rebounds.

"I was really pleased with (Carlson's) first night," DeBoer said. "He also blocked four shots. ... I was pleased with how he fit in for his first game."

Lynden Christian's next game is at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 17, at Burlington-Edison.
