Lummi girls fall to Grace Academy

THE BELLINGHAM HERALDDecember 13, 2013

The Lummi's girls' basketball team was no match for Grace Academy on Friday, Dec. 13, as the Blackhawks fell 64-27.

The Blackhawks were led by Trina Humphreys' 14 points and Dawn James' 11, but still couldn't keep up with the more experienced Grace Academy squad.

"We worked hard," coach Randy Kaui said in a phone interview. "We are inexperienced and it showed in our play, but we'll get better."

Kaui applauded the play of Humphreys and Sarah Burke, who grabbed eight rebounds.

Lummi's next game is against Mount Vernon Christian on Saturday, Dec. 14, on the road.
