BELLINGHAM - Andy Heinz and Brian Hansen will merge their estate planning practice with another local law firm.

Heinz and Hansen will join Barron Smith Daugert's established estate planning practice on Wednesday, Jan. 1. Heinz will join the firm as partner and Hansen as counsel.

The expanded practice will have six lawyers and four paralegals, according to a joint news release.

With their previous firm dissolving due to retirements and reorganization, Heinz and Hansen thought it was time to join a firm they hold in high regard.

"We've long admired the estate planning group at Barron Smith Daugert," said Heinz in the news release. "The merging of our practice with theirs creates tremendous value for our clients and is an exciting new chapter in both of our careers."
