Offers suggestion to stop gas transport

COURTESY TO THE BELLINGHAM HERALDDecember 10, 2013

I read all the comments in The Bellingham Herald regarding Canadians transporting gasoline to Canada in gasoline cans and/or other containers. I believe this undoubtably is an unsafe practice. The solution to the problem lies at the border. If the Canadian government imposes an import tax or tariff on gasoline in containers, other than a vehicle's gas tank, equalizing the difference in pricing, people would no longer do it. Presently, there is a significant difference in gasoline prices.
