Toivola overtime goal secures Blazers win

Kristjan Toivola scored in overtime and the Bellingham Blazers defeated the West Sound Warriors 3-2 on Friday, Dec. 6, in Bremerton.

The game featured 21 powerplays throughout the contest but the teams were unable to break the tie in regulation.

Toivola scored on the backside rebound to give the Blazers the win.

The Warriors struck first as they took the lead when Joe Glithero scored on the powerplay. The Warriors extended their lead 2-0 when Peter Mingus scored an unassistsed shorthanded goal.

The Blazers rallied back and tied it up before the end of the third period.
