Rachel Tennant and Jordan Harmelink Rachel Tennant and Jordan Harmelink were married on July 27, 2013, at Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Lynden. A reception followed at Windows on the Bay in Bellingham. A second reception was held in Sioux Center, Iowa in August. The bride is the daughter of Mark and Edith Tennant of Lynden. The groom is the son of Harlan and Kathy Harmelink of Sioux Center, Iowa. The bride's sister, Rita Schneider, was the Matron of Honor. Bridesmaids were Brianna Prince, Sarah DeJong, Kendra Wiese, and Kara Swanson. Personal attendant was Kim Hiemstra. The groom's brother, Joshua Harmelink, was the Best Man. Groomsmen were Jacob Harmelink, Ben Olthoff, David Haan, and Chris Schafer. The bride graduated from Lynden Christian High School and Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa. She teaches at Children's Home Society in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The groom graduated from Unity Christian High School in Orange City, Iowa and from Dordt College. He is a sports writer for New Century Press in Rock Rapids, Iowa. After a honeymoon in Mexico, the couple lives in Sioux Falls, S.D.
