Coach: Ken Welk

Last year: Finished 4-16 overall last year while posting a 3-9 record in the NWC, good for 10th place. ... Averaged 42.2 points per game last year. ... Scored a season-high 56 points in a win against Sedro-Woolley a year ago.

Players to watch: Jillian Welk (Sr., Guard); Tania Daou (Sr., Guard); Mackenzie Wright (Sr., Wing)

Outlook: The Seahawks are anything if not an experienced group, returning eight players from last year's club. Leading the group will be a pair of senior guards, Jillian Welk and Tania Daou. "They all lead in different ways," Anacortes coach Ken Welk said. "They each do it differently, but it blends for them." Daou led the Seahawks in scoring last year with a mark of 10.4 points per game, and fellow senior wing Mackenzie Wright followed that up with 7.4 points herself. "I expect a real good, cohesive group," Welk said. "They've had some good court time together. I think we're going to have better overall play."
