Borderites roll to victory over Cubs

Blaine defeated Sedro-Woolley 57-13 on Friday, Dec. 6, at Sedro-Woolley High School.

The Borderites were led by Taylor V'Dovec, who had 18 points. Alexis McElwain also had 12 points, nine rebounds and three assists.

Blaine forced 27 turnovers and rolled to victory, only allowing two points in the first, third and fourth quarters.

"Our defense was fantastic today," Blaine coach Ryan Pike said in a phone interview. "There just wasn't a letdown (when we took out our starters). It was great having a bench come off and produce."

The Borderites finish their three-game road trip on Tueday, Dec. 10, against Mount Baker.
