The Comics Place moving into former Eagles Games space

BELLINGHAM - A longtime comic book retailer is moving into a bigger, more visible space in the downtown district.

The Comics Place will move into the former Eagles Games spot at 221 W. Holly St. The store will be closed on Tuesday, Dec. 10, as workers move about 15,000 comic books and other items from the current spot upstairs at 301 W. Holly St., said Roman Stadtler, who manages the store.

The plan is to reopen at the new space on Wednesday, Dec. 11. This will be the first major move in more than 30 years; the store opened in the current building back in 1982.
