Squalicum girls beat La Conner

Squalicum girls' basketball notched its first win of the year with a 51-38 victory over La Conner on Thursday, Dec. 5, at La Conner High School. The Storm were led by Meghan Lowry's 17 points.

"In the second half we were really defensively sound," Squalicum coach Mark Wright said in a phone interview. "We wore them down and Meghan Lowry came alive offensively. Bailey Molnar kept us alive in the first half."

Molnar finished with nine points.

Squalicum's next game is at 7:15 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9, at home against Sehome.
