If you’ve wondered what all the fuss about fat bikes is, join Fat Bike Boise Saturday, Dec. 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Guerber Park, 2200 E. Hill Road in Eagle to demo bikes and celebrate Global Fat-Bike Day. Bike Touring News, G-Fit, George’s, Meridian Cycles, Vibe Cycles will have Fat Bikes to demo. If you have a Fat Bike, bring it and ride. It will be a potluck/BYOB event. After the event, folks with fat bikes will do a group ride.

Check out the video, which our friends in Eastern Idaho created last year (disregard those event dates in the video). Jug Mountain Ranch in McCall rents fat bikes and allows them on its groomed Nordic ski trails. We will be doing more on fat bikes later this winter in Idaho Outdoors.
