Suggests theater lower movie sound

COURTESY TO THE BELLINGHAM HERALDDecember 5, 2013

Here is a partial solution for the sound problem causing neighbors of the Regal Cinema at Barkley Square to complain: lower the volume in the RPX and IMAX theaters! Recently we saw "Gravity" in the RPX theater and it was so loud it was painful and we had to cover our ears during the loudest parts. I was very concerned about any children in the theater because I believe the sound level was high enough to cause permanent hearing damage. There is no reason the sound has to be this loud. It is possible to create a visceral quality of sound without blasting out the ears of everybody in the theater. Bigger is not really better when it comes to sound. Regal Cinemas, please lower the volume to protect our ears and be good to your neighbors. Thank you.
