Blazers sweep weekend series with win over Tri-Cities


Four different players scored for the Bellingham Blazers as they topped the Tri-Cities Outlaws 4-1 on Saturday, Nov. 30, at the Bellingham Sportsplex. Kristjan Toivola led the Blazers with a goal and an assist.

Richard PreKop kicked off the scoring as Bellingham never trailed in the game. Nick Scherbenin and Chad Haywood also scored for the Blazers. Cody Rich and Micky Turner each had two assists, and Ty Hubbard and Dawson Quint each added an assist.

Bellingham goaltender Robert MacDonald stopped 28 Tri-Cities shots. The Blazers sent 58 shots toward the Outlaws' net in the win.

Bellingham's next game is at 7:35 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, in Bremerton against the West Sound Warriors.
