Emergency repairs to reduce portion of Northwest Avenue to one lane

THE BELLINGHAM HERALDDecember 1, 2013

BELLINGHAM - A portion of Northwest Avenue will be reduced to one lane as stormwater crews work on emergency repairs sometime in the week of Monday, Dec. 2, according to the Bellingham Public Works Department.

The lane closure will take place in the 3300 block of Northwest Avenue, in the area around the intersection with West Maplewood Avenue.

The work is weather dependent and could take place any day next week. Drivers can expect flaggers through the construction zone and delays during the work.

No one was available at Public Works on Friday to explain what necessitated the emergency repairs.
