Big third period powers Blazers to win


The Bellingham Blazers exploded for four third-period goals to notch a 5-1 win over the Tri-Cities Outlaws on Friday, Nov. 29, at the Bellingham Sportsplex. The Blazers were led by Cody Rich's two goals and one assist in the victory.

Bellingham outshot Tri-Cities 60-28 as Blazers goaltender Josh Stone stopped 27 shots. Scott Hansen, Dawson Quint, Travis Questadand Richard PreKop also scored for the Blazers.

Mason Wade had two assists, while Aaron Questad, Micky Turner, Kristjan Toivola and Tye Hubbard each had one assist for the Blazers. Bellingham improves to 15-5 for the season, good for second place in the Northern Pacific Hockey League.

The Blazers host the Outlaws again in a late game Saturday, Nov. 30.
